Privacy Policy

About FilmCalc
Tanaka Works (the “Provider”) establishes this policy regarding the handling of user information in the Android application FilmCalc (the “App”).
1. Information the App collects
The App does not collect or transmit personal or device information to the Provider’s servers, including names, email addresses, telephone numbers, location data, contacts, photos, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, usage data, or diagnostic data. The App does not use account registration, advertising, analytics, or cloud synchronization.
2. Information stored on the device
The App stores the material master, calculation conditions, display theme, theme color, and other app settings on the user’s device to provide its functions and retain settings. The Provider does not receive or access this information. Depending on the device and Google Account settings, Android backup may store or restore data held on the device through Google’s backup service. This process is controlled by Android and the user’s settings, and the Provider does not receive or access the backup data.
3. Sharing with third parties
Because the Provider does not collect user information through the App, the App does not sell, share, or provide user information to third parties.
4. Information provided when contacting support
If a user voluntarily contacts the support email address, the Provider uses the email address, message, and any information attached by the user to reply and provide necessary support. This information is not disclosed to third parties without the user’s consent unless required by law. Inquiry information is retained only as long as needed to provide support and maintain related records, and is deleted when no longer required. Users may request deletion through the contact address in this policy, subject to any legally required retention period.
5. Deleting data
Data stored on the device by the App can be deleted using the App’s restore or delete functions, Android’s app-data deletion function, or by uninstalling the App. Data stored in Android backup can be managed through the user’s Google Account or device backup settings. The App does not create user accounts, so there is no account-deletion procedure.
6. Children’s privacy
The App is a practical calculation tool for people working with flexible packaging and film and is not designed for children. The Provider does not intentionally collect children’s personal information through the App.
7. Security
The Provider does not include unnecessary Android permissions, advertising SDKs, or analytics SDKs, so that the App does not access unnecessary user information. If the App’s functions or data handling change, the Provider will implement appropriate security measures.
8. Changes to this policy
This policy may be revised when the App’s functions, applicable laws, or Google Play requirements change. Material changes will be announced in the App, on the Google Play store listing, or on a public web page.
Web calculators
Values entered in the web calculators are processed only in the browser and are not sent to a Tanaka Works server. Browser localStorage is used to retain inputs and selected settings. The web calculators do not use accounts, advertising, analytics, or cloud synchronization. Stored information can be removed by deleting the site data in the browser.
